Round round baby How did Nana Mouskouri’s 1969 album Over and Over make it to Number Ten and spend almost two years in the UK charts? Not even the record execs know… here at bob we have that on good authority. A former CBS employee charged with the task of signing new talent was in the shop recently. Bob’s record bowls gave him a good chuckle… they brought back a memory of rebelling against the Mouskouri tide and spending one cold UK night with a cigarette lighter and a stack of Nana records, turning them into ashtrays. Putting them to better use, he reckons. We had to know… who had he signed? Anyone we knew? Terrence Trent D’Arby, no less. Well sign your name across our hearts, the near-brushes with fame we have at bob! Record bowls, made in Bendigo from assorted vinyl greats and not-so-greats, $20. .
